Half couplings are threaded all the way through, one end is square cut for welding onto a tank.
Steel material and coupling dimensions conform to the requirements of ASTM A865. Standard merchant couplings 1/8 – 2″ are straight tapped (NPS) and 2-1/2 ” and larger are taper tapped (NPT) to ANSI/ASME B1.20.1
